Meet the Dentist
About Dr. Randy Morgan, DMD
Born and raised in Portland, Randy Morgan is a fourth generation Oregonian. While growing up, he spent his formative years in typical boyhood activities: sports and outdoors, the latter as an Eagle Scout.
In his late teens, Randy attended and later graduated from Oregon State University in 1976, with a BS in Science. While at OSU, Randy met Gayle Kimberly, whom he married during his tenure at dental school. Thereafter, Randy received his School of Dentistry degree from OHSU in 1978.
Dr. Randy Morgan, DMD first opened a practice in Elgin, OR, operating in that community for just under ten years. Randy’s professional goal was to become the region’s finest local dentist, in terms of his service’s affordability for expert dental care, its family orientation and friendly interaction amongst patrons. It was also in Elgin that their only child, Lindy, was born.
Community Service and Worldwide Dental Care Missions
The Morgans would eventually move the practice to Baker City, OR in 1986. During this time, Randy and Gayle had been active members of community Rotary Clubs and Chambers, involving themselves in numerous activities. They also took frequent mission dental trips to Mexico and Africa in order to provide communities less fortunate with dental care and services.
In 2002, the Morgans decided to sell the practice in Baker City, to pursue their other love of life: sailing. For the next seven years, they would sail the coast of North, Central and South America, from Alaska to Ecuador. They loved exploring the many different cultures and peoples along the way, making lasting friendships to this day.
Now Serving the Newberg Community!
The last three years, the Morgans split their time on the boat and working with a dental clinic in Burns, OR. After their daughter married, moving family to McMinnville, Lindy had twins. Randy and Gayle looked feverishly for a practice in the area to be closer to family. Their real goal: To spoil the twin grandsons! Their prayers were finally answered in mid-‘09 when the Newberg Family Dental practice needed a strong and experienced dental practitioner.
Now since settled and in full operation, the Morgans look forward to reaching out to meet and greet the Newberg community, to explore the Yamhill Valley, and yes, to spoil the grand kids.
